When should I arrive for the interview?

Q. When should I arrive for the interview?

A. Don't be late. Leave yourself enough time margin to allow for traffic and other delays. Remember that you're supposed to meet the interviewer at the designated time, not just enter the building. Some time may be required to negotiate entry with security guards, wait for the elevator, etc. If you arrive more than ten minutes early, hang out elsewhere. Camping out in the reception area can be annoying. If you have extra time, drop by the bathroom and check your appearance.

If you're running late, make every effort to call and tell them to expect you late. If you expect to be more than half an hour late, offer to reschedule for another day.
